We are in LOVE with this space!!!!!! Ahhhh! I know, I know… as if our huge 4,500 square foot studio wasn’t big enough already… we have officially expanded the space! We have loved shooting in this huge natural light studio, and cannot wait to get more beautiful clients in here for their shoots. We met the adorable,, kind, fun Vanessa at one of our Boudoir Workshops a bit back. V is from Puerto Rico, so when she told us that she was going to book one of our Penthouse Bond Inspired Shoots, we were beyond thrilled that she was going to make the trek to us again. I mean sure WPPI was going on at that time too, but we like to think she just came to see us :)
This woman has the most infectious laugh ever, being around her is a pure joy. So to say we loved shooting her is an understatement. This year instead of having our usual boudoir booth at WPPI, we decided that we were going to something that would not only thrill us to the core, but also give the supermodel experience to other photographers. Thanks for letting us show off your images Vanessa!

We had SUCH a fabulous time at our April Boudoir Workshop!!! We truly loved this group of photographers, and we are so thrilled that we were able to spend 2 full days working and sharing with them. And we just love it when we get to read reviews from our workshop attendees. It’s so much fun to hear how they enjoyed their experience, and to see the workshop through their eyes. So we just loved reading Ashley’s recap from the workshop over on her blog.

Ok, so this is something we don’t talk about much, but since 2008, we have been approached SO many times about a possible boudoir reality show, I think at this point we have lost count. We’ve talked with producers, we’ve visited offices and held meetings with teams in Hollywood, and we’ve filmed a few teasers/sizzle reels in the past. But it wasn’t until a guy named Dean Houser came along that we really decided we would give any weight to an offer. All of the past things didn’t seem to quite ‘fit’ right. But then Dean approached us… and he not only “got” us, but also totally respected what we did and what our studio was about. He and his crew were the legit of the legit. We absolutely loved working with them when we filmed this (last year)… it was such a fun experience, and Dean & his crew were just so professional!
We have never shown this “sizzle reel” before (a sizzle reel is something that reality show producers put together to pitch to networks) and we are a little nervous to show it now to be honest. I think it gives a pretty good overview of what we do but with a little dramatic flair thrown in in true TV spirit. Hee hee. (Keep watching past our meeting, that’s when you get to see what the real experience is like!)
Oh my goodness we had so much fun making this! We really just wanted to show all of you so that you can see how much fun we have… and so that you can see what the experience is like for our clients! On that note, we want to say thank you again SO very much to the 2 amazing clients who were willing to be a part of our reality show sizzle reel!!!! Thank you for being brave enough to strip in front of the cameras, in order to help show other women what this is all about! At the end of the day we don’t know whether or not we will ever have a Boudoir Divas reality show. Right now it’s not looking like the networks are biting on the concept, even though we think they’d be crazy not to. From the very beginning when we launched this business, it seems like every other day our clients and friends are telling us how we need a reality show, to give the world a glimpse into the Boudoir Divas world. So far it hasn’t happened… but we are TOTALLY ok with that. We gave it a shot, and if it isn’t meant to be – then no big deal. God is always in control of these things. I have a feeling we are just way too nice. Our office isn’t necessarily full of drama – we actually love each other and we’re like a family here – so we certainly would be no “Jerseylicious.”

BOUDOIR DIVAS REALITY SHOW SIZZLE REEL PITCH | MARISSA BOUCHER | KIMBERLEE WEST | DEAN HOUSER
What a day! Hearts pounding, rain pouring, inspiration sizzling and the Eiffel Tower in the distance just a constant reminder of how blessed we are. Here is a little teaser from Tenley’s multi day photo shoot. We hope to have a video and many, many more images to come. We would be honored if you checked back in the future for more.
We also have to give a huge shout out to my Mother Cecelia. She worked her bootie off and ruined her stove top in an effort to create and dye this dress for us. Mom that you so so so much! We would have been so lost without you and your last minute “save the day” efforts, as usual.
I still am in awe that we were asked to travel to one of our favorite places ever, Paris (well Tours which is very close to Paris) to speak. Sometimes God gives you such a special little nugget of love, that you know without a doubt it is a gift from Him. And so that’s how it went, we went to Paris to speak and to do shoots.
Now I know that in the past we always did workshops in Paris AND we ADORED doing these. They were so fun for everyone involved. But last year we had a bit of an awakening. There are just SO many darn details and logistics that go into the planning for our Paris workshops. In planning these workshops it is always so difficult to find a conference hall, or hotel, or large apartment that was even remotely reasonable for what we needed… not to mention, most of these large places cost so much that our poor attendees would end up having to pay well over $3000 to make it possible. So this year when K and I started the search again, we just couldn’t quite find a place that was “legit” and Paris-authentic AND affordable for our workshop attendees. One where we could break even or at least not be too far in the negative after the workshop, a win/win considering we just want to shoot and talk about our passion in Paris. Alas, our searched proved unfruitful. And to K and my despair it looked like we weren’t going to Paris.
Epically disappointed, we let go.
So thanks for reading through our explanation of why things have changed, as my friend Leah says so often “you win some, you lose some.” In this case I think we… uh… well, we lost some and then we won some. But we came out very grateful. Here is a little more about the first leg of our trip.
We arrived in Paris (M, K and Erin Ashley Greene),we fought off jet lag with on and off enthusiasm…
Stopped in front of Pritemepts, mesmerized by the Natalie Portman/Sophia Coppola display for Dior.
Then took the TGV to Tours, about 3.5 hours by car, one hours by a freakshow TGV fast train. We did our typical tourist thing and smelled the roses and made many friends along the way.
I know, to be honest it pains us to say it. But this just might be our last workshop…ever??? Whoa, okay, now… we know that’s a really big statement. Don’t get us wrong here – we LOVE our workshops so very much, and we believe in them majorly. We have seen our workshop attendees grow to become boudoir mega stars, by doing so many of the things that we taught them at our past workshops. But life is really busy for us right now, and our calendar is slammed this year, so we thought we should be honest with you all about our workshop plans for the year. We HIGHLY encourage you to come to our APRIL workshop, as we aren’t sure if there will be another one at the SD studio in 2013. And we do love teaching in our studio, because it’s at that location where the most learning truly happens – it’s where you can see where we work, get a behind-the-scenes tour, and some awesome hands-on experience! Heya lovely peeps! So I am sure you have heard us ranting and raving in excitement over the James Bond inspired boudoir photo shoots we did during WPPI week in Las Vegas. If you didn’t, well then we ask you kindly to follow us on Instagram, cuz you missed seriously exciting moments in the world of Marissa Kimberlee!! The idea behind these shoots is that we really wanted photographers to have a chance to be pampered and get in front of the lens. To be honest, I think we may have had even more fun than all of our clients did (if that’s possible!) – because it was three packed days filled with laughter, smiles, and a little controlled-creative-chaos all around.
We have quite a que of photos in the chamber ready to fire off on our bloggy blog here (forgive me for the bond-esq wording) but we are thinking we may space them out a bit to keep from completely blowing your mind with the beauty of these ladies. So we are going to kick it off with the Bond Bombshell Bonnie. Not everyone gave permission to share their images, and that’s TOTALLY fine, we get that. We just wanted to thank those of you who have given permission for us to share, as well as thank all of you ladies for allowing us to have the unforgettably fabulous time shooting you.
