We need your opinion! What would you like to see at WPPI?

Can you believe WPPI time is almost here already? I certainly can’t. Last year the week of WPPI, and the days before and after, were some of the most fun and exciting days of our lives. We had a full workshop. a demo shoot with KISS, a party to celebrate the launch of our POSEBOOK, and then on top of it all, we also had our booth at the convention! Kimberlee and I love doing workshop and talking with other photographers and this year we want to be sure that we are bringing you exactly what you want. Below you will see a poll between the two workshops that we are considering. One will be the same program that we do here at our studio, and the second is a one day ‘petite’ version of our typical boudoir workshop. In the mini workshop we will still go over lighting and posing, and you will have some time to shoot and build your portfolio as well, but as informative and helpful as it will be, it won’t be the in-depth, secret-spilling, overload of info that is included in the regular workshop. We know that price and just your overall goals for WPPI will influence your decision, so please vote to let us know which appeals the most to you. Thanks everyone!!! So many videos!!!

Two new videos for your viewing pleasure… here they are!

These videos show a little behind-the-scenes look at our day of shooting for The Posebook Video. ***UPDATE on that: We are finishing uploading the videos AS WE SPEAK!!! We should have the downloads available for all of you who have purchased the Posebook… TOMORROW!!! As I was uploading these videos, I noticed that we have over FIFTY of our silly little videos uploaded on Vimeo… not to mention all of the ‘oldie’ videos over on YouTube! We know that these videos aren’t anything too special; but we do love sharing a little glimpse of our personalities, and feel like that’s best accomplished through VIDEO BLOGGING! So, we’ll keep posting ‘em! :) A look back at some of our very first videos… Remember THIS one? (It’s received nearly 14,000 views… just love this video of Marissa giving some awesome boudoir photo tips & ideas!)

I was going through some old photos & videos today, looking back on the past few years w/ the Boudoir Divas… and came across this video that I had forgotten about! It made me smile. The video quality is horrible (I think it was the first video we ever recorded for our blog), but the part I love most is when Weston comes dancing across the screen behind us. So random – I love it! :)

The Boudoir Workshop starts tonight!

We are so excited to meet all of our Vegas workshop attendees tonight! Tonight is our cocktail party at the Divas suite… we’ll be hanging out, getting to know everyone, and giving an introduction/overview to our workshop. Oh, and we also created a cool ‘virtual tour’ of our San Diego studio that we’ll be sharing with everyone. Can’t wait to meet all of you – see you tonight!
***NOTE: Workshop gals… we will be meeting you tonight in front of the Grand Lux Cafe. Sent an email to everyone, and we’re also trying to call everyone (if we have your phone number on file). Just want to make sure that you all know where to meet up. Thanks!

Boudoir Marathons | Las Vegas Boudoir Workshop

One of the rising trends in boudoir photography is the “boudoir marathon.” This is a great business idea, and it’s PERFECT for anyone who doesn’t have studio space. Most boudoir marathons take place in a hotel room… you’ll book the hotel for a few days, then book up as many boudoir shoots as you can in those days! Such a cool way to do things. We’re super excited about our Vegas Workshop because we’re going to be shooting in a hotel suite – which will be perfect for those of you who are planning on doing marathons in a hotel! We’ll show you how EASY (and inexpensive) it can be to get it going.
